We are first time wood burning stove owners and are very satisfied with our Drolet Escape 1800-I. Although it is a bit physically smaller than what we expected the unit performs exceptionally well. It does a great job of offsetting our primary electric heating when temperatures drop below freezing. We are very pleased with the look of the stove and the quality of the materials and manufacturing.
