Je possède l'ECO-45 depuis plusieurs années: poêle très performant mais aussi capricieux. Pour chauffer ça chauffe. Je chauffe la maison au complet même pas temps très froid sans le mettre au maximum. Cependant pour le nettoyage c'est autre chose. Si on devait suivre toutes les instructions du manuel ça serait pratiquement une job à plein temps: il faut apprendre à faire la part des choses. Également c'est très difficile d'atteindre tous les racoins pour le nettoyage. C'est très fastidieux, long et pénible. De plus les pièces sont plutôt fragiles. J'ai dû changé l'allumeur. Ma recommandation est de laisser le pilot "ON" sinon on brûle l'allumeur. J'ai aussi changé le moteur principal.

We bought this stove Friday, October 17 from the Kent store in Truro, NS. We bought it home and installed it and ever sense turing it on, the auger motor as intermittently worked and stopped. Now after only a couple hours running it shut itself off but will turn on but wont operate the auger in any way.

2 week old stove. Wouldn’t light and sometimes wouldn’t stay lit. Called service line twice. Was told thermistor is too cold for stove so work properly. My cellar at that time was 39F. I bought the stove to get heat in my cellar. That is the point of having a stove. Now I have to hear my cellar with propane heater to get my stove to light. I never once encountered such an issue with my previous pellet stove. It was a Heatilator. Obviously I should have bought another instead of a Drolet

My initial review was a complaint about a metal on metal blower noise, I inspected the convection blower and found it had been damaged. I posted my review while registering my stove and was contacted immediately by Drolet inquiring about my issues, they are sending me a new convection blower before I even requested a replacement, this in my opinion is outstanding customer service. I have been running my ECO-55 for several weeks now and I’m quite pleased with its performance. I just hope my stove runs as good as the customer service I received, I have changed my rating to 5 stars, well done Drolet.

To date, it is more demanding/rather inconvenient in terms of cleaning. If the burn pot is not vacuumed every second bag of pellets, the pellets do not burn well. It needs to be scraped clean of resin every two weeks (14 bags of pellets). If the pellets run out, there is a great deal of smoke on re-igniting and a big explosion when the ignition happens-- such that the smoke is forced to go though the door lining. The burn pot is very awkward to replace after cleaning. -- difficult to line up with the opening to the igniting "stick". I believe that the design could be improved.

This has been the worst pellet stove I have ever purchased and the customer service has been severely lacking. I bought this stove 2 years ago and had it installed by a certified technician and have had problems since day one. After repeated attempts contacting customer service and being told to try various things to fix the problem, I'm still no further ahead and now I'm outside the warranty period so I'm stuck with this useless stove. Basic problem is the stove can't be ran for even 24hrs on any auger speed without the burn pot overfilling.

We bought a Drolet pellet stove because we wanted to have one made in Quebec to help the economy. When the installer was putting it together there was a part missing. We bought it from Canadian Tire (in another city) but could never get in touch with them after many times of trying to contact them. After that we could never get the stove started, the pellets spilled into the Auger but the ignitor never lit up. We have an a pettet stove for 10 years, but made in USA so we decided to put it in our basement and get one made in Quebec. No too sure it was a good idea. Hope we will get help from the company that made the stove. I will not publish this comment until I get help from Drolet because I would not want to give you a bad name.
