This unit is well built. The flue exhaust on the side rather than the center of the stove provides a much more uniform oven heat than the antique stove that it replaced. When we were looking at different wood cook stoves, I never made the connection. The appearance of the outback chef is more appliance looking than a traditional wood cook stove. It blends well with our other existing kitchen appliances. The stove top and oven get the most use. We haven't skipped a beat with the upgrade to the outback chef. The oven is way better for pizza than our previous antique wood cook stove. A nice additional benefit is how well It heats the house.
