My Drolet 1500i came with some bumps and bruises from the factory and shipping, but they were all cosmetic. Drolet sent me some touch up paint to deal with some of those blemishes. The wood-fired insert is mighty! Wood heat is special. You can't load this one "North-South" as they say (if you're using 16" long splits of firewood). The logs have to go in side to side ("East-West") which just makes loading with wood a bit more difficult. You'll need a stove or insert with a deeper firebox to be able to load "North-South".
