I recently purchased an Escape 1800-I wood stove insert. I installed this with a 6in flex chimney liner in a house built in 1940 with damaged interior chimney tiles. My goal was to get the chimney functioning, provide extra heat (old houses are drafty), and generate a nice ambiance. I am very happy with the purchase. The stove met my expectations.
